After the collapse of Soviet Union five independent nation of Central Asia have maintained a close relation between religion and national identity. Also these nations have showed up a major variable in the agenda of international politics. Islam, a traditional religion of Central Asia, has played a key role in the areas of politics, economy, and society as well as in religion since the disintegration of the Soviet Union and resulting independence of central Asia. The undergoing resurrection of islam of the area is closely linked with the process of overcoming a legacy of lengthy Russian rule and recovering ideological, political and sociocultural identity of Central Asia. Thus, islam bears an extremely significant meaning for the understanding of current Central Asia. Especially Islam in the Central Asia have played a essential role keeping their own identity since the 7th tradition of Islam despite Mongolia invasion, the rule of Imperial Russia and Soviet Union. Therefore this thesis analyzed the process of Islamic development in the area for understanding objectively about Central Asia.
