경제전문용어의 이해가능성에 관한 실증적 연구

본 연구는 경제학원론을 학습한 학생을 대상으로 경제전문용어의 이해가능성 수준을 측정하고 이들 용어에 영향을 미치는 요인을 분석하였다. 이해가능성 요인은 선행연구와 전문가 협의를 통해 네 가지 요인을 선정하여 이용하였다. 이해가능성 점수의 유의성 분석에서 가장 이해하기 어려운 용어는‘경상’, 가장 이해하기 쉬운 용어는‘화폐’로 나타났다. 신뢰성 분석에서 응답자간 내적일관성은 유지되었다. 이해가능성 요인의 순위평균 분석결과 영향요인 순위 간에 유의한 차이가 있었다. 이해가능성 점수를 종속변수, 학년, 나이, 성별, 고교형태 및 경제학 관련 과목 이수여부를 독립변수로 다중회귀분석 하였다. 분석결과 학년은‘금융’,‘무역’및‘환’, 나이는‘할인’및‘재정’, 성별은‘무역’, 고교형태는‘화폐’, 경제학 관련 교과목의 이수여부는‘통화’,‘화폐’,‘금융’,‘무역’및‘환에서 유의한 영향을 미쳤다. 경제학원론 관련 교과목의 이수자와 비이수자의 분류에 영향을 미치는 용어의 로지스틱 회귀분석 결과’화폐‘와’할인‘이 통계적으로 유의한 결과를 나타내었다. 본 연구결과는 학습자에 대한 효과적 및 효율적인 학습목표를 달성하기 위한 교수방법의 개발 및 설계에 유용하게 적용될 것으로 기대된다.

The objective of this thesis is to examine the level of understandability and its determinants in economic terminology. The economic terminology is chosen as the subject for the investigation considering the fact that this principles of economics is known as the most complicated and never has been examined. As the determinants of understandability. four variables are specified. These determinants are examined whether or not factors to determine the level of understandability for each of the fifteen major items of the economic terminology. The results are as follows; (1) Average level of the understandability ranged from 55.86 to 19.31(100 point scale) over fifteen different items. (2) The determinants of the level of understandability are different for each item although some of them are common. These results provide an evidence of specific understandability areas of the economic terminology and the sources of the understandability of each area. Additional regression analysis shows that demography character of respondents have some effects on the recognition of understandability in the seven items among fifteen. More studies which elaborate various aspects of research design are expected. The results will be a helpful guideline to improve the economic terminology.
