대학 수업 개선을 위한 자기 수업 분석 방법 개발 연구

Development of Self-Analysis Methods of Teaching for the Improvement of College Education

이 연구에서는 교수가 자신의 수업을 분석할 수 있는 몇 가지 방법을 개발하여 실제 대학수업에의 적용사례와 함께 제시하였으며, 다음과 같은 연구 방법을 사용하였다: 1)대학수업 분석에 적합한 분석 방법 개발; 2)이 분석방법들을 대학생 60여명에게 가르쳐서 실제 대학수업 관찰 자료 분석에 활용해보도록 하고, 참여관찰과 면담을 통하여 이들이 어느 부분을 어려워하며 시행착오를 자주 겪는지 파악; 3)교수 대상 수업분석법 연수 9회와 워크숍 운영 2회를 다양한 형태로 실시하면서 연수 자료를 개발하고, 참여관찰, 면담 및 설문조사 결과를 토대로 수정.보완. 연구결과로서 대학 수업 분석을 위한 자료수집방법 4가지와 분석방법 3가지를 제시하였다. 자료수집방법으로는 1)수업녹음을 활용한 자료수집; 2)교수성찰일지 형식의 참여관찰일지 쓰기; 3)학생 학습일지 수집; 4)수업관찰기록지 만들기에 대해서 소개하고 논의하였다. 수업분석방법으로는 1)수업의 진단에 도움 되는 연구결과를 활용한 수업내용분석; 2)수업 중 실제학습시간분석; 3)수업구조분석에 대해서 실제 적용사례를 제시하면서 소개하였다. 이러한 분석 방법들은 교수 자신의 수업분석은 물론 교수들 간의 상호장학이나 수업컨설팅 전문가에 의한 수업컨설팅 등에서도 유용하게 활용될 수 있다. 수업분석 도구인 동시에 수업에 대한 커뮤니케이션을 활성화시키는 역할을해주기 때문이다.

This study aims to develop self-analysis methods of college professors' teaching. The research procedure is as follows: Firstly, I developed four self-analysis methods of college teaching. Secondly, I conducted participant observation in three of my research methods classes where 60 students who had learned these methods and applied these for the analysis of the fieldwork data of college classes. Thirdly, I gave presentations of these self-analysis methods at 9 training or workshop sessions for professors and using diverse methods, feedback was collected from participants. As a result, the original methods have been improved and materials for the self-practice or training workbook have been developed. In chapter 3, I discussed four kinds of data-recording of one's own class, which can be used for the analysis of one's own teaching - recording of teaching, reflective journal, learning log of students and observational narratives. In chapter 4, three analysis methods were introduced, together with examples of application for the college teaching: 1) content analysis using findings of previous researches, 2) analysis of active learning time (time on task) during a class and 3) analysis of structure(the time-lined structure diagram analysis) of a class.
