Research on Internet Real-Name System

사이버 공간을 통하여 사람들 간의 커뮤니케이션 영역이 획기적으로 확대되면서 여러 가지 측면에서 혁신적인 변화가 일어나고 있다. 기술적 진보가 창출해낸 대중의 자유로운 의사소통 공간에 대한 기대는 낙관적인 전망을 불러오기도 하지만 현실적으로는 확대된 가능성을 부정적인 방향으로 사용하는 현상도 무시할 수 없는데 이와 관련한 주된 논의가 인터넷 실명제에 대한 것이다. 본 논문에서는 인터넷 실명제 논의와 관련한 기본적인 개념과 유형에 대한 이해를 바탕으로 찬반 논의의 타당성과 제도적 정비방안을 검토하고자 한다.

Innovative changes are taking place as communication area between people are expanding greatly through the cyber space. The expectation for space of free communication of the public created by technical progress on the one hand brings about positive prospects; but practically, the expanded possibility may as well be used negatively. And the main argument about the issue is the one on internet real-name system. Based on the understanding of basic concepts and types regarding the debate on internet real-name system, this thesis aims to examine the validity of the debate and the institutional improvement plans.
