The Characteristics of Consumer Behaviour of University Students with Boy or Girl Friends

The purpose of this study was to find how consumer behaviour is different between two groups with and without boy or girl friend among university students. Questionnaire survey method and random sampling method were utilized. Survey was conducted from 1 September to 5 September, 2010 and 300 university students who were living Cheongju area were selected. Main results were as follows: First, the students with boy or girl friend tended to show more impulse and conspicuous purchasing behaviour than the counterpart. Second, the students with boy or girl friend tended to spend their money for more seeking pleasure or fun than the counterpart, and to show over-spending than the counterpart.
