디아스포라와 로컬리티 硏究

Diaspora and Locality Studies －A New Way of Looking at the Korean Residents in Japan－

この論文は二つの目的で書かれている。その一つは、ディアスポラに関する最近の議論を批判的に受け止めながら、ローカリティ研究とディアスポラ理論との接点(類似点と差別性)を模索することである。ローカリティ研究の立場からディアスポラを見るとき、その意義は二つぐらい提示することができると思う。まずディアスポラが近代の国民国家体制がもたらした体表的な他者であるということで、その他者化のメカニズムを究明し、国民国家の陰に埋められてきた他者性と多様性の意義と価値を読み出されるいい素材になるということである。もう一つは、ローカリティ研究がどうして既存の多様な少數性理論との差別化された価値と展望を提示していこうかということと関連している。そしてもう一つの目的は、理論的な議論(次元)を越えて具体的な実践戦略としてのディアスポラを考えてみろうということである。抽象的な民族の次元ではない、ディアスポラとしての当事者たちが日常の生活を営む具体的な場所であるローカルの空間に注目すれば、民族中心の議論が疎かにしてきた現地の人々とディアスポラとの多様な関係性が新たに浮かび上がる。もっと具体的には、日本の代表的な在日コリアン集住地である大阪の生野区を中心にして、ローカリティの観点からみた在日コリアンに対する新しい視角の可能性を模索する。

This paper has two main purposes. First of all, it is to find out the contacts between the diaspora discourse and locality study, mainly on the similarities and differences, critically accepting the recent discussions. When dealing with the diaspora from the perspective of the locality study, the significance can be provided in two things. First, as diaspora is the representative of other beings which the modern nation-state system produced, diaspora study can be a better subject in order to investigate the mechanism of creating otherness and to grasp the meaning and possibility of otherness and hybridity shadowed by the centerness of the national state. On the other hand, it is related to how the locality study provides the new values and views which are differentiated from previous discourse on minority. And another purpose is to think about diaspora as concrete and practical stratege that goes beyond a theory. If we pay more attention to local areas where diaspora people make their living more than to an abstract level of the nation, more clearly appears the relationship of diaspora people and original inhabitants of the area which nation-centric discourses have neglected. Specifically, study about Ikuno, Osaka, one of the most well known Korean towns in Japan will provide new perspective in terms of locality in investigating Korean Japanese.
