The Research Subject of the Family Firm Analysis -The Resource-Based Theory Framework-

This paper proposes a research framework that outlines the determinants of functional families and family business , requisites for family business resources. This paper suggests that the framework from previous resource-based theory not distinguish to clearly describe the “ family definition" "familiness(family effects)" "entrepreneurship effects" on performance. The familiness and family business resources based on resource-based theory of the firm, is described and propositions are generated that examine the relationship between family business and performance. Implications for framework and research are also discussed.
