교육수요자 요구에 근거한 교과과정 개선방안에 관한 연구

A Study for the Revision of Curriculum Based on the Needs of the Educational Customer in a College of Nursing

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to assess the needs of educational customer concerning the current curriculum and make suggestions for improvement in the curriculum based on the educational customer. Method: A descriptive survey study was used. Subjects of this study were all of the senior students and the graduate of a college of nursing. Data were collected using FGI and an open ended questionnaire. Results: Curriculum connecting theory and practice is important as well as the education connecting theory and practice. Reorganization and adjustment of the subjects and the credits in the curriculum were recommended to integrate similar subjects. The subjects related to basic nursing sciences need more credits and practice. The subject of adult nursing needs more credits and the nursing interventions should be focused in the contents of this subject. PBL needs more credits and should be applied to various nursing subjects. Subjects about human relationship, communication, counseling and clinical practice are the highest for the newly established subjects. Conclusion: Reorganization and adjustment of the subjects and the credits for the integration of similar subjects, the connecting theory and practice, and the strengthening of problem solving ability in clinical practice were recommended.
