The Validation of the Korean Version of Self-Compassion Scale

본 연구에서는 자기자비심 척도(Self-Compassion Scale: SCS)를 한국어로 번안하여 한국 번역판 자기자비심 척도(K-SCS)를 제작하고 총 482명의 대학생을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하여 이 척도에 대한 신뢰도 및 타당도를 검증하였다. 그 결과, K-SCS의 내적합치도 계수(α)는 .91로 높았고, 문항-총점 간 상관계수도 .35에서 .68로 높은 상관을 보여 만족스러운 신뢰도 수준이 확인되었다. 확인적 요인분석 결과 K-SCS는 3개의 하위차원 각각에서 2가지 요인을 가져 총 6개의 하위요인으로 구성된 것으로 나타났고, K-SCS가 자아수용, 긍정적 대인관계, 정서지능 및 자아존중감과 유의미한 정적 상관을 보이고 자기비판성과는 유의미한 부적상관을 보임으로써 구인타당도와 수렴타당도가 확인되었다. 또한 위계적 중다회귀분석 결과 자기자비심이 자아수용, 긍정적 대인관계, 정서지능 및 자아존중감의 설명량을 넘어 우울과 불안 등의 정신병리 부재를 예측하는데 있어 고유변량을 지니는 것으로 나타나 증분타당도가 확인되었다. 마지막으로, K-SCS의 활용성 등과 관련한 연구의 의의와 본 연구의 제한점 및 이후 연구 방향에 대해 논의하였다.

The purpose of this study is to test the validity of the Korean version of Self-Compassion Scale (K-SCS). 482 undergraduates completed the K-SCS. The results are as follows; Frist, the internal consistency coefficient(Cronbach's alpha) of the K-SCS was high (.91) and correlation coefficients of item-total score were ranged from .35 to .68, Second, confirmatory factor analysis suggested six-factor model of K-SCS. Lastly, K-SCS score was correlated positively with self-acceptance, positive human relationship, emotional intelligence, and self-esteem, and associated negatively with self-criticism, depression, and anxiety. Accordingly, convergent and discriminant validity of K-SCS were verified. Implications and limitations of this study, and directions for future study are discussed.
