양초의 연소시간 측정에 관한 실험적 연구

In case that an incendiary uses a candle as ignition delay materials to manipulate the ignition time at the scene of arson, it is difficult to carry out an investigation on the arson attack due to lack of basic data about the candle combustion. Therefore, this study was conducted to measure the candle combustion time used as ignition delay materials at the scene of fire. As a result, the study showed that all the candles on the market had different combustion times by type, size, and manufacture and it was difficult to find out common data with time such as mass of burned candle with time. In conclusion, when candles used as a ignition delay material are found at the scene of arson, it is needed to calculate the combustion time in proportion to mass of burned candles and estimate the ignition time through the combustion experiment using the candles as a sample under the same as conditions of the scene.
