Interest in Appearance, Recognition of Skin, and Skin Care Behavior According to Women’s Age

The purpose of this study is to examine the interest level in appearance, and is to grasp skin care, and skin care behavior targeting many adult women who are much interested in appearance. The research subjects were adult women who dwell in Gangwon-do region. Totally 300 copies of Questionnaire were distributed. Totally 265 copies were used as analytical data. As a result of performing the factor analysis of interest level in appearance, totally 4 factors were classified such as factor of self-expression, factor of body-shape management, factor of being satisfied with pure appearance, and factor of aesthetic orientation. As a result of examining skin type according to women's age, women in 19 years old were the largest in combination skin. In 20's women were the largest in dry skin and combination skin. In 30's women were the largest in dry skin. The satisfaction with skin condition was indicated to be a little bad in 19 years old, to be moderate in 20's, and to be moderate in 30's old. Thus, women were indicated not to be so high in satisfaction with their skin condition. As for skin problem, acne and broad pores became a problem in 19 years old and in 20's old. In 30's, the pigmentation was indicated to be a problem. As a result of examining a reason for paying attention to skin care according to women's age, the self-satisfaction was indicated to be the largest reason in all the ages. In skin care behavior, the massage(home care) was shown to be preferred in all the ages.
