The Old Oyo Archaeological Site was surveyed with the aim of creating a Geographical Information Systems (GIS) Database of its cultural tourism resources. Surveys were carried out on the site thereby classifying its cultural tourism resources into rockshelters, artifacts and relics of human settlements. The spatial locations of these resources were obtained using a Garmin?? Global Positioning Systems (GPS). ArcView GIS software was used in developing cartographic representation of the spatial locations of the classified resources and then linked to the respective attribute data. This produced a database for archiving, analyzing and displaying the cultural tourism resources of the site.
