Differentiated curriculum of English by level could bring forth a big change into the current English educational scene for the following obvious reasons. First, there will be an evaluative decision to be made either on students’ being promoted to a higher level or retained on the same level at the end of each study period. Second, depending on being promoted or retained, students of the same grade will be studying with a different textbook. In the midst of all these differences from the previous curriculums, this study closely reexamines the organizational state of the 7th curriculum in terms of the methods of teaching and learning English and the levels of achievement suggested for the area of teaching English speaking skills.
