「四庫全書」는 실제로 ‘全書’인가?

Are Sikuquanshu(四庫全書) really complete collection?

이 글에서는 지금까지 사고전서 사부 분류 체제의 기원과 특징, 그리고 經ㆍ史ㆍ子ㆍ集 四部(四庫)의 편제에 나타난 특징을 분석하고자 했다. 그 결과 『사고전서』는 明體達用, 通經適用이라는 기준에 의해 철저하게 관철되고 있다는 것을 알게 되었다. 明體와 通經은 유가의 중심성을 철저하게 구현하는 것인 반면 유가에 대립되는 도교와 불교를 이단으로 배척하는 것이다. 이때 유가는 『사고전서』가 딛고 서 있는 가치의 총체[體ㆍ經]를 가리키고 당시 사람들은 그것을 분명하게 알아야 하고 통달해야 했다[明ㆍ通]. 達用과 適用은 明體와 通經이 순수한 추상의 세계나 신과의 단독 소통으로 나아가지 않고 방향을 현실 세계로 선회하도록 만든다. 즉 명체와 통경이 현실의 실용에 의해서 자신이 수행해야 할 목표를 완성하게 되는 것이다. 이로써 體와 用, 經과 用이 절연되지 않고 끊임없이 선순환하여 세계에 질서가 가득차고 삶의 질이 높아지게 할 수 있었다.

I intended to analyze the origin and characteristic of classification system of Sikuquanshu(四庫全書), distinct feature of Sikuquanshu four part(四部), that is to say classic part(經部), historical part(史部), philosophical part(子部), literature part(集部). There is absolute standard, namely understanding the essence to achieve practical use(明體達用) or grasping meaning of sacred book to apply(通經適用) practical use within Sikuquanshu. It is criterion to select the book that are providing continuously in all parts of the country. Mingti(明體) and Tongjing(通經) is to realize thoroughly the centrism of confucianism, and to get rid of strictly Buddhism and Taoism opposing to confucianism. Confucianism indicated the embodiment of values within Sikuquanshu. At that time, everyone has to know clearly and understand thoroughly the meaning of confucian documents. And Dayong(達用) and Shiyong(適用) is not to make Mingti(明體) and Tongjing(通經) communicate with abstract world and God, to make them communicate with real world or everyday life. Thanks to practicality of concrete world, Mingti(明體) and Tongjing(通經) is accomplish their purpose. Due to balance of Ti and Yong, Jing and Yong, order will be restored to the world and the quality of life will be improved enormously.
