Studies on the draft of East Aisia History School Book and the Historical Feud between Korea and China, Japan

In 2007.12. Korean Ministry of Education amend the process of History education in middle school. The main contents of change is addition of new items. The new items are ‘History of East Asia’ and ‘Culture History of Korea’. Especially ‘History of East Asia’ is the first History Education item in Asia. The reason that this new item add to History education cource is derived from the neighborhood state. China, in 2002-2007 made project named Dongbukgongjeong(東北工程) and Japenese distorted History Schoolbook. It's main aim is that make change of Koguryo's historical belonging to China. So the contents of ‘HIstory of East Asia’ should touch this problem. But some points are not sufficent to this problems. The representative problem is using chinese historical biased word. The typical word is ‘local government’. Because Chinese Historical treatise emphasized that Koguryo is not Korean indepedant state but Chinese local government. So, the new ‘East Asia History’ should emphasize that objective description of real facts and get along well with one’s neighbor state.
