Northern Territory in the Early Koryo and the problem of 9-Castle

We are understood the location of 9-castle was the South region of Ham Kyong province near Won-san. But the real site of them, was not Ham Kyong provine, but north side of Rive Du-Man near yanbian. The expansion of territory in the early Koryo dynasty, came to pass the Du-man An in the driving Jurchen out across the river. regn of Mun-Jong, Koryo made extension the Submit area across the Du-man. Japanese historians insisted the location of 9-Castle was the Ham Kyong province. But Kong-Humjn(公嶮鎭) and Sun-chun-yong(先春嶺) were located at the southern Gando near Yanbian. Therefore the territory of early Koryo was the same size of cho-sun dynasty.
