Kokuryo rose in Manchuria and ruled Manchuria for over 700 years, and then Palhae (P’o-hai in Chinese) established a nation in Manchuria and dominated the Manchurian plain more than 220 years. Combining Kokuryo and Palhae, our ancestors ruled Manchuria over 920 years and our brethren had developed Manchuria for a long period of time. Both Kokuryo and Palhae extended their influence to Mukden district or Liao-tung area to the west, and Palhae advanced to the Amur River to the north and occupied the Maritime Provinces. Therefore, this area contains body odour of our ancestors’ achievement.
