The purpose of this study is considerate paradigm of education to prepare new millenium, and after that, reflecting the education about new idea and direction. Through the consideration of an education paradigm, we can make the direction about the idea for holistic education. First observe what the education of a knowledge foundation society and then thesis conception about paradigm of holistic education through Hong-ik-in-gan. In the society based on knowledge, change of thought is necessary from home, school, mass communication and the leaders. And we must systematize lifetime study about them to make proper decision. The education paradigm, Hong-ik-in-gan that begins with environment and ecology intends to change human's thinking by ecological education. The education based on Hong-ik-in-gan have to be faithful origin idea, human and nature are same. The educational paradigm at turning point have to change like following. First, to solve problem about present education, we try to change our thinking. Second, Because the holistic education is from the west, we have to revise that adjustable to Hong-ik-in-gan. Third, we try to change our viewpoint about, student, learning, teaching, curriculum, evaluation, teacher and principal through the holistic paradigm. As we reflect and principle education, we have to try to make korean own holistic education.
