The objectives of this study was to analyze various virtues and realize effective character education on the basis of it. To accomplish this aim, after this study established the concept of character, extracted and classified character virtue factors. The study was carried out through research methods such as literature review, expert panel discussion, major international and domestic literatures related to the character education objectives and education objectives , along with reports, theses were collected and classified and analyzed. Major findings of the study were as follows.; First, from the result of discussion about character and personality while considering educational possibility of personality, character could be interpreted as closer meaning to character than personality so ‘character education’ could be established from the aspect of education. Second, this study extracted character virtue factors required in researcher’s assertion or society on the basis of appearance frequency and could classify into own range that controls and respects himself through one’s discovery, foreign range that can be said as virtue factors considering other person on the basis of courtesy and respect for maintaining harmonious and kind relationship with other person in the process of right character and own and foreign range that can be own and foreign range at the same time.
