Ki-Art Breathing and Health - A study on Nae Gong Dencing

Adult health is based on the Nae-Gong Dancing, Ki-Art of Stream of Conscious, Breath-Power based on the Lower Abdomen is The Way of a United Body-Spirit as Self Defense. Nae-Gong Dancing(NGD) Suggests That Man and Universe are One. NGD means pouring energy called Ki, Breath-Power, Spiritual Power based on the Lower Abdomen(아랫배 臍下丹田) into the legs, arms and the universe. So what we called NGD is The Way of Breath Dancing(Dan-Moo 단무 丹舞) performed by the identification of Man with the Universe. The same as a universal living form of Willow formalizes a well balanced combination, the calmness of NGD symbolizes tranquillity and serenity. The same as a universal form of Bamboo brings out the strength and endurance in the universe, NGD symbolizes graceful elegance and purity. That is to say NGD is a unification of body and spirit based on the universal power of human life. I have thought Koreans do not have sports or Martial Arts to keep them healthy, without distinction of age or sex and most of all sports. The Koreans has played the limitation of the human activity, but the Chinese has played Kung-Fu, and the Japanese has played AiKiDo, without distinction age and sex. I think people can easily practice universal dance, while accompanying Nae-Gong would give spiritual and breath-Power to the student of NG. I wanted to have an original Idea to create self-defence Arts are based on NG harmonized with the natural law. I think the natural Law First, the producing source of everything in nature is the dual principle of Yin(-) and Yang(+) embraced with Taekeuk. Universe which are always mutually supplementary. Second, is the principle of the center of a circle principle which embraces both centrifugal force and centripetal force used in the technique of entering or turning. Third, is the principle of a triangular safety form and diagonal leverage used for the balance of postures. That is to say, when an opponent holds you by the arms, kicks you on the shin or strikes you on the head, you can escape from those, without kicking, grasping, or striking. Only by never fighting you can keep on a peaceful mind for opponents. The process of training breath of NG for making a spirit and body(심신일여 心身一如) used for controlling the blood pressure. The process of the breath on NG is to practice between inhalation through nose and exhalation through mouth, during the count of ten seconds accompanying the breath based on the lower abdomen. Second, the process of NG cxcrcises is to twist the body as in the arts of a taoist, pull-push with breathing(내공체조 內功體操). Third, the process of training NGD used for making a man and universe as one(內功體術). Fourth, the process of formation of NGD is to practice a standard action-kicking, grasping, striking for the sake of doing a dancing. Fifth, the process of NGD is to practice the process of the formation on NG, in four directions, and eight directions and circling with dance. Sixth, the process of self-defense of NGD is to practice the process of dancing used for defending against opponent’s attacking or together an opponent for self-protection. The importance of NG exercises is to pull-push, and twist up-down body used for curing diseases of an adult susch as curvature, disk, sponylitis of spinal column. Gong-Ki(공기 空氣) is air and a universal energy that comes through the breath of the lower abdomen. It will supply life to the circulating system of the blood. For example, First by preventing paralysis, Second, by keeping normal blood pressure, Third, by promoting the circulation of blood, Fourth, by preventing heart disease. Rolling over the body accompanying NG, we can strengthen the reflexes of the articulation joints thus preventing diseases in an adult.
