장애 영ㆍ유아 조부모의 스트레스, 심리적 수용, 지원 유형 분석 및 손자녀의 지원과의 관계

The Relationships among Grandparents’ Stress, Psychological Acceptance and Support Patterns on Their Early Childhood Grandchildren with Disability

본 연구는 장애 영ㆍ유아의 조부모가 손자녀의 장애로 인하여 받는 스트레스, 장애의 수용정도, 그리고 지원유형과의 관계가 어떠한지를 알아보고자 하는데 그 목적이 있다. 연구목적을 달성하기 위하여 광주ㆍ전남 지역에 위치한 8개의 유아특수교육기관에 취원하고 있는 장애 영ㆍ유아의 조부모 240명을 대상으로 질문지를 배포하고, 회수된 질문지 중 유효한 134부의 질문지를 분석하였다. 질문문항은 장애 영ㆍ유아로 인하여 받는 조부모의 스트레스 유형에 대한 15개의 문항, 장애 영ㆍ유아 손자녀의 심리적 수용에 대한 15개 문항, 그리고 조부모로서 장애 영ㆍ유아에게 제공하는 지원유형에 대한 15개 문항으로 구성하였다. 모든 문항은 4점 Likert 척도로 점수가 높을수록 유의미성이 높아지도록 구성하였다. 본 연구에서 밝혀진 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 장애 영ㆍ유아 조부모는 사고, 회피 등과 관련된 스트레스 영역에서 집단간 유의한 차이를 보였다. 즉, 조부보다는 조모, 외조부, 외조모가 느끼는 심리적 고통과 스트레스가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 또한 그들은 타인과의 관계를 회피하는 경향이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 장애 영ㆍ유아 조부모는 거부, 분노, 우울 등의 영역에서 집단간 유의한 차이가 있었다. 즉, 장애 영ㆍ유아의 조부, 조모, 외조모가 장애 영ㆍ유아의 출생에 대한 충격, 부인, 불신, 수치심, 죄책감 등이 높았다. 셋째, 장애 영ㆍ유아의 조부모가 제공하는 지원은 행동적 지원, 교육적 지원, 생의학적 지원 등에서 집단간 유의한 차이가 없었다. 그러나 사회적 지원은 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 보였다. 즉, 장애 영ㆍ유아의 조부, 조모, 외조모가 장애 영ㆍ유아를 위한 가족의 상호작용을 강조하는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 넷째, 장애 영ㆍ유아에 대한 조부모의 지원은 스트레스가 낮고, 장애를 긍정적으로 수용할수록 적극적인 지원을 제공하는 것으로 나타났다.

The purpose of this study was to analysis the relationships among grandparents’ stress, psychological acceptance and support patterns on their early childhood grandchildren with disability. The subjects of this study were 134 grandparents who are has early childhood grandchildren with disability. Their grandchildren were students 8 kindergarten with disability in Chonnam and Gwangju area. The questionnaire were stress test and psychological acceptance test by their grandchildren with disability, and support patterns test for their grandchildren with disability. In order to analysis these data, one way ANOVA and stepwise multiple regression analysis were conducted. Result were as follows: The group of grandmother, maternal grandfather, and maternal grandmother felt high psychological pain and stress by their grandchildren with disability. In the psychological acceptance of their grandchildren with disability, the group of grandfather, grandmother, and maternal grandmother were low. The social support pattern were significent difference among group. the result of this were analyzed the group of grandfather, grandmother, and maternal grandmother interacted with family positively. The grandparents were offered positive support their low stress and positive accepted their grandchildren with disability.
