A Study on Economic Condition and Public Finance Structure of U.S. Military Administration

Korea that got liberalized from Japanese colonization due to the end of Seco World War should launch the task to begin new era of modernization independently. But a cold war system between the U.S. and Soviet Union brought our social political disintegration and social chaos and caused Korea to undergo economic failure. This thesis will investigate what kind of influence the fiscal policy under military administration have on upcoming economy and how the social and economic phenomena were reflected in the fiscal structure, by anlyzing how social and economic phenomena under U.S. military administration and financial system we interconnected. The outcome demonstrates that financial policies at that time lacked any ty of industrial policy to reform distorted, dependent and inflationary economic structure after liberation as well as policy-making in establishing the foundation of healthy social and economic orders.
