시각장애학교 2학년 ‘즐거운 생활’ 점자교과서 미술영역 분석

Research on a Plan for Improvements in Textbooks through Analysis of the Art Section in Happy Life from 2nd Grade of Visually Impaired School

본 연구는 초등학교 2학년 즐거운 생활 교과서의 미술교과 영역에서 일반교과서와 점자교과서의 차이를 분석하고 미술교과 지도상의 문제점을 파악하여 그 개선방안을 제시하기위해 시각장애 특수학교 교육 경력이 10년 이상의 교사로 초등학교 저학년(1,2)과정의 담임을 최근 5년 안에 맡아본 교사 3명을 대상으로 심층면접을 실시하였다. 본 연구를 통해 즐거운 생활 교과서에 제시된 그림이나 사진 등의 예시자료가 점자교과서에는 생략되어 있어 학생들이 학습내용 이해하는데 어려움이 있었으며 교사들 또한 학생들을 지도하는 데 많은 어려움이 있음을 알 수 있었다. 점자교과서의 개선방안으로 그림 및 사진의 예시자료와 설명을 적절하게 제시해주는 교과서 이외의 부록이 필요하다는 의견이 많았으며 앞으로 시각장애학생들에게 적합한 미술부분의 별도의 제시자료가 필요함을 시사해 주었다.

This research has implemented the thorough interviews with three teachers who have experiences in teaching visually impaired students for at least more than 10 years with the history of taking charge of the lower grades in elementary level in recent 5 years of period to present improvement plans through the investigation on the difference between the Public textbooks and Braille textbooks and the understanding in the problems of teaching visually impaired in the art section of the Happy Life used in 2nd grade students. Through this research, you can clearly see that students had difficulties in understanding contents of the study and also teachers had hard time educating the students since the illustration that are displayed in the public textbook of the Happy life were omitted in the Braille textbooks. There were varieties of opinions suggesting the need for an appendix which is apart from the textbook to guide explain the pictures or images in the “Happy life” textbook as well as a separate guidance material concerning the art section that is suitable for visually impaired students.
