Carbon Finance is a new emerging concept. In older times, we considered carbon as one of main bad gases that polluted the air of globe. But the Kyoto Protocol has changed our recognition about carbon. Nowadays we consider carbon as an economic goods that can be sold or bought. This study reviews the characteristics and the present situation of several commodities in relation to carbon finance. These commodities include carbon fund, carbon emission trading insurance, project finance etc. Furthermore, this study reviews some legal issues in relation to carbon finance in Korea. Finally this study introduces the development trend on financial products of carbon finance in Korea.
