This paper examines the effect of service imports on manufacturing and commodity exports in developing countries. Most literature on service trade are subject to developed countries and it is rare to find a research paper on the relationship service imports and manufacturing and commodity exports. This paper provide an empirical research on the effect of service imports on manufacturing and commodity exports for developing countries during 2000-2009. This paper employs the fixed effect regression model based on the first differenced data. The main result of this paper can be described as follows: 1. The effect of service imports on manufacturing is more important than commodity export in developing countries. 2. The transportation, travel, insurance and other business services have a significant impact on manufacturing exports in developing countries.
