불가리아 중등교과서에 나타난 한국관련 사료 조사 분석 연구

Korea and Korean in the Bulgarian School Textbooks

본 논문은 불가리아에서 현재 교육용으로 사용되고 있는 지리(“지리와 경제”) 및 세계사(“역사와 문명화”) 교과서를 수집하여 그 안에 나오는 한국 관련 내용들을 정리하는 것을 1차적인 목표로 삼는다. 아울러 이러한 자료들을 분석하여 한국과 관련된 기술 사항에서 오류가 없는지, 만일 있다면 특정한 분야에서 혹은 일정한 패턴이 존재하는 지를 살펴보는 것을 2차적 목표로 삼는다. 이를 통하여 불가리아 교과서에 나타난 한국, 한국인의 상(image)은 어떠한 것이며, 향후 교과서 기술에서 우리나라가 교정해야 할 부분과 그 내용은 무엇인지를 살펴보는 것을 최종적인 목표로 삼는다. 총 17종의 불가리아 중등교과서가 분석되었으며, 그 자료를 직접 스캔하여 정확도를 높인 연구를 시도하고 있다.

This paper aims to investigate Korea and Korea’s images, reflected in the Bulgarian school textbooks. For this research, the author collected 17 Bulgarian school textbooks and analyze them. In Bulgaria, we can find “Korea and Korea’s images” informations in the textbooks of “Geography and Economy” and “World History”. In the “Geography and Economy” textbooks, Korea is described as the rapidly developing country with the help of Heavy industry and Shipbuilding industry. Also Korea is explained as the country of huge populations and high technology. But, the East sea is written in everywhere as the Japanese Sea. This should be corrected by further efforts. In the “World History”, Korea is introduced with the help of the Korean War(1950s’) and democracy. Especially, the Korean War is described with details in the structure of the Cold War and competitions between America and Russia (Soviet Union). No Bulgarian textbooks contain the entire or separate chapter, describing independently only about Korean.
