DEMATEL법을 활용한 도시쇠퇴 문제의 구조화 분석

A Structured Analysis of Urban Decay Problems by DEMATEL - Focused on Nisikawaguchi Area of Saitama Prefecture, Japan -

1. CONTENTS (1) RESEARCH OBJECTIVES The purpose of this study is to clarify the mechanism and essence of urban decay and its complicated problems by understanding whose structure with DEMATEL method, one of Structural Models. (2) RESEARCH METHOD We use the DEMATEL method in order to structurize problems in the area of decay. In other words, I do a survey of the recognition about urban decay to representative of residents with matrix form of questionnaires. (3) RESEARCH FINDINGS The outcome after considering cause and effect, the biggest problem is “bad local image”, followed by “lack of attractive places” and “few visitors”. In the meantime, the problem with comprehensive dispatcher is “lack of effort to nurture human resources”, followed by “unstable security” and “lack of solidarity among organizations”, and the problem with receiver is “bad local image”, followed by “few visitors” and lack of attractive places”. 2. RESULTS The main problem in the area results from “lack of attractive places” and “few visitors” and “unstable security”, and “few young people”, and consequently local image becomes bad. In addition, few young people in the area causes less attractive place, and as a result, it brings bad local image.
