The Analysis and Tasks of the Act on Supporting Improvement of the Quality of Life of Dwellers of Long-Term Public Rental Housing

1. CONTENTS The Act on Supporting Improvement of the Quality of Life of Dwellers of Long-Term Public Rental Housing was enacted in 2009. This act to support the improvement and maintenance of existing long-term public rental housing and establish facilities for economic activities and welfare services for low-income and socially weak citizens. (1) RESEARCH OBJECTIVES This paper proposes the legal advice for The Act on Supporting Improvement of the Quality of Life of Dwellers of Long-Term Public Rental Housing. (2) RESEARCH METHOD This research examined the existing resources and the published dissertations and was described based on the statistical data of research with the related books, the reports of research. (3) RESEARCH RESULTS Public rental housing should be comfortable and safe both mentally and physically. Public rental housing policy will enable the government to provide comfortable housing services at affordable costs in places where people want to live in. 2. RESULTS Korea’s housing policy is based on Article 35 of the Constitution which states that all citizens shall have the right to a healthy and pleasant environment. Its ultimate goal is to realize housing welfare for the people providing all citizens with comfortable and pleasant housing at affordable costs in places they want to live in.
