It has been fifteen years since EPIK (English Program in Korea) was first implemented in Korea. A substantial number of individual research have been accumulated over investigating the effects of team teaching with native English teachers. It is high time that research be synthesized as to how effective English KT (Korean teacher) and NT (Native teacher) team teachings are on both cognitive and affective domain of English learners. To this end, this study is to synthesize individually reported effects of team teaching with native English teachers on communicative competence and affective domain. Twenty-six individual articles on the effects of team teaching are examined and analyzed applying a commonly accepted meta-analysis technique measuring mean effect sizes. The result of meta-analysis of English KT and NT team teaching suggests that the effects on students’ communicative competence as well as affective domain containing anxiety, confidence, risk-taking, interest, motivation and empathy are proved to be significantly positive.
