한국인의 영어 사동 심리동사 습득 문제 연구

A study on the acquisition of English causative psych verbs by Koreans

The purpose of this study is to investigate the problem of the acquisition of English causative psych verbs by Koreans within the framework of UG, including UTAH of argument realization and lexical parameter. In the experiment, the subjects, 118 Korean high school students, were required to perform two tasks: the lexical knowledge production task and the argument structure production. The results of the experiment are as follows: First, Korean high school students show the overall ignorance on the causative feature in lexical conceptual structure of OE(Object Experiencer) psych verbs and OE-SE(Object Experiencer-Subject Experiencer) alternating psych verbs. Thus, it is inferred that the students have not reset the lexical parameter from L1 Korean [-CAUSE] to L2 English [+CAUSE]. Second, Korean high school students show incorrect grammatical knowledge on the [Theme-Subject/Experiencer-Object] argument structure of OE psych verbs and OE-SE alternating psychological verbs; transfer of L1 is still persistent even in the advanced level students.
