미술교육에서 창의성 연구의 관점과 접근 방안

A Review of Theories and Practice of Creativity in Art Education

본 연구는 창의성 연구 문헌 분석과 미술교육에서 다뤄진 창의성 연구를 기초로 창의성 연구의 개념, 내용, 특징을 고찰하고자 한다. 창의성 연구의 범주를 토대로 미술교육의 창의성 연구를 사고력으로서, 과정으로서, 산물로서, 통합적 접근의 4가지 관점으로 나누어 살펴보았다. 미술교육에서 창의성 연구의 관점을 바탕으로 미술적 창의성과 관련된 사고력을 설명하고 미술 활동 과정에서의 창의적 자아표현, 미술적 성장, 작가를 모델로 한 창의적 사고 모델 등의 개념을 고찰하였다. 창의적 산물인 학생 작품에서 창의성의 질적 특성을 분류한 아이스너의 창의성 유형학(typology)을 살펴보았다. 마지막으로 시각문화와 창의경제의 중요성이 요구되는 현대에 창의성을 개인적, 선천적 특성 뿐 아니라 사회문화적 맥락을 고려하여 재개념화가 필요함을 들었다.

The purpose of this study is to suggest ways to approach to creativity in art education through critical analysis of concepts related to creativity and art education that can be developed to cultivate students’ creativity. Recently there are increasing notions about creativity in art education due to the reformation of the 2009 National Curriculum. It is necessary to reconceptualize definitions of creativity due to the changes of field of art education to integrate concepts of visual culture and global creative economies. It is advocated that research and practice in art education can develop cognitive, productional aspects through artistic process. Topics discussed in this article, related to reconsidering creativity in Postmodern times include history of creativity research, creative thinking, artistic creativity, creativity typology, and educational and methodological approaches to creativity in sociocultural context.
