Analysis of Acceptance Model in u-healthcare system by HPM: Focused on hypertensive patients

The u-healthcare service is one of the most emerging technologies because of the rapid increase in chronic patients (such as obesity and hypertension). This motivates us that the u-healthcare services can be applicable for hypertensive patients by monitoring them in ubiquitous environment. The purpose of this study is to propose a conceptual model, appropriate for the intention to use u-healthcare service for hypertensive patients, by adopting the independent variables covered in the Health Promotion Model (HPM) by Pender‘s study and integrating the three dimensions of needs, attitude, and intention to use - referred to in Technology Acceptance Model (TAM).
