Socialist Realism Literature in Mongolia, Tamir River

This paper intend to analyze the Mongolia socialist literature text Tamir River not from an ideological perspective, but from aesthetic and sociological perspectives. This novel is a work of socialist realism that depicts the founding history of the Mongolian nation from 1914 to 1932 and of which main character is the ordinary nomad ‘Erden’. It has the narrative stucture based on important political events and the conceptulized characters of the revolution and the counterrevolutin, and that enable to achieve the ideological writing of nation-founding history. But at the same time, it also has a detailed description of reality and groups of characters created by the author’s honest eyes that are important characteristics of modern novel. That shows that the writer is a faithful realist rather than a mere propagandist. Besides, it makes a love story in a traditional way that a speaker delivers a story to an audience , it make the novel get popularity.
