본 연구는 어휘장을 활용한 한국어 어휘 교육을 논의하였다. 먼저 한국어 어휘장 교육에 대한 기존 연구를 살피고, 한국어 어휘장 교육의 현황 파악을 위해 한국어 교재와 한국어능력시험 기출 문제(TOPIK)를 분석하고, 한국어 교사와 학습자를 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 본고에서는 한국어교육용 어휘장을 기초ㆍ기본ㆍ문화어휘장으로 나누고, 하위에 주제별 유형 분류를 한 다음에 대한 어휘 목록을 제시하였으며, 공간 개념 어휘장을 한 예로 들어 어휘장 관련 학습 내용과 학습 단계별 교육 내용, 어휘장 학습 방법을 구체적으로 제시하였다. 같은 어휘장에 함께 묶인 단어들은 서로 연계성을 띠고 있기 때문에 여러 기준에 의한 체계적인 분류 과정을 통해서 그 연결고리를 찾아냄으로써 학습의 효과를 얻을 수 있다.
This paper discusses the Korean vocabulary education using the lexical fields. First, it examines earlier studies about the Koreanlexical fields education. Second, it analyses Korean language textbooks, previous tests of Test of Proficiency in Korean(TOPIK), and conducts a survey among Korean language instructors and Korean language learners in order to understand the current situation of Korean lexical fields education. In this paper, Korean lexical fields for education can be divided into three types; essential lexical fields, basic lexical fields, and cultural lexical fields. After sub-classifying them according to subject, it presents the vocabulary list of each lexical field. Among them, it gives the example of space lexical field, and then presents the educational contents according to the learning levels relevant to Korean lexical fields, and the specific methods of teaching and learning Korean lexical fields. If the link of connection is found by the process of classifying vocabulary according to various criteria because vocabulary in the same lexical field is connected one another, it can help to have marked effects on learning vocabulary.
