This study is based on my article 'A questionnaire for the University Art Education in Korea'(Journal of the National University of Arts, 2001) Whereas 92 students answered in the 2001 study, this paper counts on the survey of 48 faculty member, who work in various universities in Seoul and Kyungido areas. The critical findings are as follows; (1) The overall majority of university teaching faculties question severely the University Entrance Examination, UEE. Only 10% answer affirmatively, whereas 50% response negatively. It is of interest to find that the senior group, 10 years or more in field, questions the validity of UEE (2) The 73% of teachers and 63% of students highlight the importance of Writing test at UEE. (3) The most of university faculty think that the National Curriculum does not work properly and do not go smoothly with higher art education at University. The 62% believe that art class simply disappears in high school. (4) As for the priority in the innovation of university art education, faculty member and students answer that facility renovation, social consensus for creative art education, and the modernization of curriculum are urgent. (5) In the 2001 survey, students response moderately to the quality of technique class. Teaching faculties, in contrast, are less satisfied with it. One in three art students in Korea think the technique class is well in form, whereas only one in ten teaching staff say that it meets the quality. (6) About 60% of students answer that art theory class is of importance in their preparation to professional artists, whereas 30% of teaching faculties think that art theory class need to be enhanced. It is interesting to find that the senior group in faculties are more concerned with art theory class. 40% of senior group think it is important to be stressed, meanwhile only 20% of junior fellows agreed to increase art theoretic class. (7) The 2001 survey shows that students overwhelmingly want the media class. 85% agree to the urgency of the introduction of video and new media class, but 14% say yes to the present quality of new media class at the university. The response of teaching staffs are very similar to that of students, but there is slight difference. 60% of teaching staffs agree to its importance and 23% think it is well in form. Teaching staffs generally think that students need to learn new media and traditional 2D and 3D class together. Students, however, insist that they want to decide which way they go.
