The Effect of Job Stress on the Job Satisfaction and Organizational Commitment in Foodservice Industry

The purpose of this study is to identify the effect of job stress on the job satisfaction and organizational commitment in foodservice industry. Prepared questionnaires were distributed to 300 sample employees working in foodservice industry. Among 300 questionnaires, 279 respondence were collected. The results of this study are as follows. First, it was found that employees ’ reward and welfare satisfaction was affected by role conflict, dissimilarity, plan ambiguity among the job stress variables. Secondly, employees' work environment and job environment satisfaction was affected by role conflict, plan ambiguity, dissimilarity, work ambiguity. Third, employees ’ relationship sharing satisfaction was affected by plan ambiguity, dissimilarity. Finally employees ’ organizational commitment was affected by plan ambiguity, dissimilarity.
