It's Proposal is to show the nature of Korean praise and to seek lesson plans using the an study focused on Korean text books and TV drama scripts. When communicating, the basic function can be as a communication. However if speakers don't express themselves correctly or don't understand each other, it'll be difficult to keep a continuative human relationship. The aim of this thesis stresses the use of appropriate language to get proper communicative competence. Learning a foreign language must be backed by understanding language and using it properly. There are various methods to learn Korean praise for foreign learners. However, among the various education methods Korean text books can be focused on the most. Accordingly, Korean textbooks have influence on understanding Korean praise and using a proper situation for non-native speakers. Therefore it's a meaningful discussion to check that Korean text books shown a real discourse closely. This manuscript, title "speech acts" according to Korean text books and TV drama scripts In Chapter 1, this study's goal, method and object is explained. Seven text books and three TV drama scripts were analyzed. Chapter 2, shows the preceding study of praise, praise concept. Chapter 3, analyzes comparison about praise topics shown in Korean text books and TV drama scripts. Chapter 4, analyzes comparison how to praise in Korean text books and TV drama scripts. Chapter 5, analyzes the comparison about reaction shown Korean text books and TV drama scripts. Chapter 6, tries to seek the lesson plans using the analysis. Chapter 7, presents the nature of "praise study" and put the possible lesson plans and showed that there was a meaningful significance in the result of the analysis of Korean text books and TV drama scripts closed to a real discourse.
