It is often said that 21st century will be the ear of information revolution. Information becomes the major source of value added. In this prosepective most firms could imporove their effectiveness through untilizing concepts and technologies of information. Especial logistics is the area which can be rationalized most by adoption information technologies. Therefore this rewarded attempts ot identify critical success factors to develop efficient integrated logistics information systems and expected effects of logistics information systems, based on the case studies of firms which developed integrated logistics information systems succeggfully. Analyzing the instance helped to see conditions of successful operation of integrated logistics information system. For such a successful introduction, the following steps should be taken: First, logistics environment should be analyzed Second, the logistics information system should be introduced and operated the whole cornpnay to accomplish effects as expected since logistics is a complex business with which other various funtigns are connected. Third, continnous interest and support by top management should he given for successful construction and operation of the logistics information system should be made since its construction. Successful construction of by the manfacturing industry the logistics information system would be accompanied by expectancy effects such as improvement in management results, cost reduction, rapid and sccurate services and customer's satisfaction. To design. introduce and construct integrated logistics information system, high advanced information system in which information on goods, markets and customer as well as the flow of products are collected and analyzed is regnired. For the design. introduction construction and operation of highly advanced information system the management should newly recognized the system and accept separation of product distribution system and logistics system. Complete construction of integrated logistics information system could make product transport rapid minimize stock, make logistics points concentrated.and reduce logistics cost.
