Parallel Truth and Common Sense

This paper centers on the works of Bae, Young hwan, born in 1967. Bae is generally regards on one of “Minjung” (Korean for “People’s”)art artists. However from my point of view, it needs to be revalue to pocus on Bae’s works not past but nowadays. Actually he is concerned about political issues but treats his own process which isn’t based on reality and on superficial. Though Bae’s works consist of secondhand article, pieces of wood, broken glass, etc., he deliberately aims at meanlessness, involving much labor. This paper tries to examine that the meanlessness is cause by his perspective which is connected with parallel truth and common sense between Bae and Korean society. For the demonstration, this paper courteously deals with concepts of immaturity, imcompleteness, and inferioty based on Susan Sontac’s article that is commented on Ferdydurke. Besides the recurrent of passivity, weakness, endurance founded on the concept of Emmanuel Levinas’s has consequence in paper.
