본 연구에서는 제주공항 자유무역지역 지정 및 개발계획에 대한 검토하였고 실증분석을 통해 동 지역이 성공적으로 발전하기 위한 시장지향적 전략을 제시하였다. 분석 결과 사전마케팅활동, 적극적인 인센티브 제공, 단계별 계획 추진과 후속연구, 신규수요에 걸맞는 공항확장계획의 재검토 및 Sea&Air 비즈니스 센터로 개발하기 위한 항만건설 추진이 필요할 것으로 판단된다.
This research analyzes on the feasibility of the designation and development plan for the Jeju Airport Free Trade Zone. In order to successfully develop the project, the empirical analysis suggests the market-oriented strategies as follows. 1. active pre-marketing 2. offering positive incentives 3. performing the step-wise projects and supporting researches 4. re-examining the airport expansion plan to cope with the new demand 5. driving the port expansion plan to inter-link as sea&air center
