독일통일 후 동서독 교육통합 사례 연구

Case Study on Integration of the East and West German Educational System After German Unification - Focused on Educational Structure, Curriculum, Teacherpolicy -

본 연구는 통일독일의 교육통합 사례를 학제, 교육과정, 동독교사 재임용 사례를 중심으로 살펴봄으로써 향후 남북한 교육통합 과정에서 참고할 수 있는 시사점을 얻는데 목적이 있다. 학제, 교육과정, 동독교사 재임용 등의 측면에서 교육체제 통합은 구동독 교육에 긍정적인 변화를 가져왔다. 그러나 급박하게 서독 교육체제의 이식되는 방식으로 교육통합이 추진되면서 여러 가지 문제가 발생하였다. 이러한 교육통합의 결과는 통일 20여년이 지난 지금까지도 크고 작은 후유증을 남기고 있다. 독일의 교육통합 사례는 남북한 교육통합 과정에서 직면할 문제를 최소화하기 위해 종합적이고 체계적인 교육통합 방안연구, 북한교육에 대한 체계적인 연구, 특히 북한교원 처리방안에 대한 연구 등이 필요하다는 시사점을 제시한다.

This study aims to examine the process of integration of the East and West German educational system applied in the German unification. It also determines the pros and cons that have been brought about in the process. Comparatively, it indicates the focal point on some implications that occurred in the case of the German for the process of the North and South Korean educational system in the Korean unification. Furthermore, it considers the potential problems that may generate in the process for the North and South Korean unification. It is therefore concluded in this research that the new democratic educational system had been established so fast in East Germany through the integration of both educational systems. On the other hand, a lot of problems have been arising because the integration process of both educational systems has been carried out as fast as possible without sufficient discussion and agreement. Based on the results of the German case research, further study on the integration process of both educational systems is necessitated. The subject matter about the teacher-integration should also be given a thorough concern.
