The Netherlands, owing to its developed transportation system and free financial and foreign exchange system with its geographical advantages. has developed in to an important gate way to Europe ; In consequence, foreign direct investment has increased steadily. The government of the Netherlands has emphasized transportation as part of its efforts to make the Netherlands a main European Distribution Center for foreign companies. With this strategy, the Netherlands has become a chief distribution center for many large multinational companies operating in Europe. Therefore the aim of this report is to study the Dutch experience in order to derive methods to help our country become a major Asian distribution center. This study will be divided into two parts. first, there will be a general survey of the Dutch economic position and investment circumstances for distribution centers : Second, this will investigate the trends and features for foreign investment.
