군산산업단지는 자동차 및 관련업체들이 집중되어있으며 지역의 산업 활성화를 위하여 중요한 역할을 담당하고 있다. 또한 지리적으로 중국시장과 인접거리에 위치하고 있어 전략적, 경제적으로 중요한 환황해권의 요충지로서 “21 세기 동북아 비즈니스 중심지”로 급부상하고 있다. 최근 들어 이 지역에서는 국내 외직접투자유치를 통한 교역의 활성화와 대중국 직항로 개설에 따른 환적, 가공 및 조립, 크로스도킹 등을 통한 부가가치물류활동과 국내외의 타경쟁 도시간의 연계된 물류네트워크 구축, 종합물류DB의 구축을 위하여 중ㆍ장기적인 계획을 수립 추진하고 있다. 이러한 상황 속에서 생산 및 물류전진기지의 역할을 원활하게 수행하기 위해서는 환황해권 물류혁신지원센터(공동물류샌터) 건립의 필요성이 최우선의 과제로 요구되고 있는 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 군산산업단지의 산업 활성화를 위한 환황해권 물류혁신지원센터 건립의 전략 및 방안을 제시하고자 연구하였다.
Gunsan Complex, concentrating on automotive and related parts industries, was established as a part of Gunjang Metropolitan National Industrial complex. Recently, Gunsan complex’s new circumstance is emergence of china’s economic, economic growth of north-east Asia. Therefore, Gunsan complex is the basis of regional industry that plays a pivotal role in enhancing the national wealth, promoting balanced development of regional economies and creating new jobs by improving production and boosting exportations. The Joint logistics center aims to contribute to consistent industrial development and improvement of the regional economy by supporting innovative systems, value added logistics linking transportation, material handling, warehousing, transshipment, assembling, processing and cross-docking. In this study we try to make suggestion for the strategy and development for the construction plan of the Joint Logistics Center in Gunsan Industrial complex.
