보육교사의 보수교육 인식에 관한 연구

A Study on Nursery Teachers' Perceptions of Continuing Education - With a focus on Gyeonggi Province -

보육교사의 전문성은 지속적인 현직 및 보수교육을 통해 발달하므로 본 연구는 보육교사의 보수교육에 대한 인식과 만족도 그리고 개선점을 조사하여 재교육 활성화 방안을 마련하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 경기도 이천, 여주, 양평지역 어린이집교사 승급(113명) 및 직무(121명) 교육대상자 총 234명에게 설문조사하였고, SPSS 12(ver.)를 통해 자료를 분석하였다. 나타난 결과를 살펴보면 첫째, 승급 및 직무교육대상자 모두가 보수교육에 대한 필요성을 높게 인식하였다(80%이상). 둘째, 보수교육에 대한 내용 만족도는 5점 리커트 척도를 사용할 때 승급교육 3.68, 직무교육 3.37로 보통수준이상으로 나타났다. 셋째, 보수교육에 대한 개선점은 교사의 개별적 특성 고려와 함께 전문성을 위한 교육내용 강화를 꼽았다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 심도 있는 논의를 하였다.

Given the fact that the professionalism of nursery teachers is developed by ongoing in-service and continuing education, this study set out to examine nursery teachers' perceptions, satisfaction, and improvement measures regarding continuing education and devise activation plans for re-education. For those purpose, the investigator took a survey with total 234 nursery teachers scheduled to receive promotion(113) or job(121) training working for daycare centers in Icheon, Yeoju, and Yangpyeong, Gyeonggi Province. Collected data were analyzed with the SPSS 12 Version. The findings were as follows: first, both the promotion and job training group had a high perception of need for continuing education(80% or higher); secondly, their satisfaction with the content of continuing education was above the average, recording 3.68 for promotion education and 3.37 for job education on a 5-point Likert scale; and finally, they mentioned consideration of individual teacher characteristics and reinforcement of educational content for professionalism as improvement measures of continuing education. Based on those findings, in-depth discussions followed.
