This study makes an attempt to argue for so-called Kantist Linguistics as a 21C new promising alternative to the earlier 20C linguistic theories such as Structuralism, Generativism, and recent Minimalism, For the construction of Kantist Linguistics, I adopt Kant’s epistemology as the philosophical basis of the new linguistic study and convert its epistemological system into the generation system of human languages suggested in Kim(2010a). As a result of this study, it comes to light that Kantist Linguistics is the most effective system among current linguistics including Chomsky’s(2001, 2004, 2005a, 2005b, 2006) ‘strong minimalist thesis’ from the theoretical and philosophical perspectives of linguistic studies. Nevertheless, Kantist Linguistics is estimated to be just a beginning project which leaves much more issues to further linguistic and philosophical studies.
