A Study on the Ways of Realization of e-Trade in International Trade Transactions

The electronic trade needs to be activated for the competitiveness of enterprises and nations. Recently, it is more important because FTA has been concluded across the world. The infrastructure and legislative system for the electronic trade in Korea have been arranged. However, the electronic trade has not been activated yet. There have been a lot of studies for activating the electronic trade owing to this reality. Yet, this study suggests the issues and solutions which the existing studies have not raised up to date. The issues and solutions from this study are belows. First of all, the issue is about the deactivation of uTradeHub, the unreality of import clearance processes, and the limitations of issuing Certificates of Origin for FTA Preferential Tariff. The solutions are based on a few suggestions, such as arranging the legal liabilities for activating uTradeHub, decreasing in submitting documents by making full use of Authorized Economic Operator(AEO), and building up the system for issuing Certificates of Origin. The effects of FTA will be maximized thanks to the electronic trade in the future.
