This study has performed a theoretical review on traditional musical instrument culture and investigated its formative properties. As a result, the following internal meanings were obtained: First, this study has attempted to establish exclusive identity in which time (‘play’) is expressed in nail art space and come up with a single means for globalization as there has been a demand for new change in culture industry by eliminating the factors that have been rejected in a modern society by combing and playing rhythms which are unique and interesting in terms of time and space. Second, the formative possibility of visual identity has been expressed by describing the rhythms of Korean traditional musical instruments such as Janggu (Korean hourglass-shaped drum), drum, Jing (large gong) and kkwaenggwari (small flat gong) dynamically. Third, the freedom from daily routine and freedom of thought were expressed through reinterpretation of racial emotions which can be felt in traditional Korean music using ‘nail art.’ Fourth, the beauty of unity has been expressed through musical performance, and Korean emotions which include natural unity such as nature-people, play-people and nature-play have been expressed.
