학교와 지역사회의 파트너십에 대한 사례연구

A Study on Partnership of Schools and Communities : A Case of Hongsung-Gun Hongdong-Myun

본 연구는 우리나라 농촌지역의 학교와 지역사회가 어려운 상황을 극복하고 활기를 되찾기 위하여 어떻게 파트너십을 형성하고 있는지 고찰하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이러한 목적을 위해 본 연구는 학교와 지역사회의 파트너십을 성공적으로 수행해오고 있는 홍성군 홍동지역의 사례를 연구대상으로 삼아 질적 사례연구를 수행하였다. 연구의 결과 홍동지역에서 학교와 지역사회는 공동의 목표의식 하에 자원을 서로 공유하며 마을사업에 함께 참여하는 방식으로 파트너십을 이루고 있음을 알 수 있다. 학교와 지역이 호혜적이고 유기적 협력관계를 형성하고 있긴 하지만 지역주민들 사이에는 학교가 주도하는 변화에 대한 인식차이가 있고, 소통에 어려움을 겪는 집단이 존재하기도 한다. 파트너십의 형태에서는 과거 학교가 주도하던 모습에서 현재는 주도권을 함께 공유하거나 오히려 지역사회로 넘기고 학교가 지역사회의 한 부분으로서의 역할을 수행하고 있는 모습이다. 연구의 결과를 토대로 학교와 지역사회의 상생을 위한 파트너십을 위해 필요한 바를 몇 가지 제안하였다.

The purpose of this study is to explore how schools and their communities in rural areas make partnerships to overcome the difficult situations that they have met. For this purpose, this research adopts a qualitative case study method, in which it deals with the successful case of Hongsung-Gun Hongdong-Myun. The result of the study is that the schools and community in Hongdong make partnerships in the manner of, under the awareness of the common goal, sharing resources and participating together in village business. Although the schools and community have mutual and organic relationships, sometimes there are differences in the perception of changes driven by the schools and some groups are struggling to communicate. In past, the schools had an initiative at the partnership, but nowadays, the schools share it with the community, or rather leave it to the community and play their roles as a part of the community. Based on the study results, the several implications for the partnership to reactivate schools and communities are suggested.
