A Study on the Tourism Development Renovation Strategies through Residents' evaluation in Kangwon Northern EastSea Area

The purpose of this study is to formulate Strategies to enhance the tourism Development in Kangwon Northern EastSea Area , and This study tries to find what the residents think and how to deal with them. A survey was conducted for 400 Residents at August 2001. This area is the most popular tourist destination in Korea. but, there are many weak point such as, facilities and resources(mountains, sea and culture). and there are exsist a lot of competition situation. In conclusion, this study implies that this area need more investment and renovation on the facilities and resources with the basis of anlysis on the Residents' attitude and participation.
