With improvement in accessibility to the Gwangju-Jeonnam regions due to the opening of Seohaean Expressway and KTX, the commercialization of tourist attractions in this area is increasingly taken very importantly. The growth of the Chinese tourism market is the opportunity for the Gwangju-Jeonnam regions, which has something in common such as cultural homogeneity and short geographical distance, to develop itself. To make good use of this opportunity, the area needs to set up various plans for tourist attractions and development. Accordingly, this paper aims at understanding the culture and tourism-related circumstances and characteristics of China and laying out a variety of schemes for inviting many tourists from China to the Gwangju-Jeonnam regions. For this, distinctive tourist resorts and products as well as various tourist routes should be necessarily developed. Moreover, it is require to develop a related Sister city’s park or garden by promoting the relationship with a Sister city and newly make the programs for youth-to-youth exchanges and homestay and exert every effort to positively remedy tourism-related information such as tourist information sign written in Chinese, Chinese guide and guidebooks to sightseeing in Chinese. Such plans and programs should be promoted continuously and steadily, not intermittently and temporarily, to make the Gwangju-Jeonnam regions a distinguishing region rich in tourist attractions, recreation facilities and eating.
